Why do women object to being treated as objects?

We "paint" our faces to please men. We "decorate" our bodies for men to look at us. We wear "jewelry" to draw a man eye to us. Basically, all is done for men. Would a man look twice at a woman that wears an ugly shapeless baggy clothes with no "paint" on their faces?...
