I told my best friend that I like him....?

We have been best friends for about 1 year now and he gave me my first kiss and ever since then he would always kiss me and he is very flirty.In January, my friend asked him if he was gonna ask me out and he said he was too afraid. I told my other friend that I liked him and that I was going to tell and little did i know, she told him herself, which I kind of think ruined it. We got into a huge fight and I told him I didn't like him anymore, which was true but then we made up and i started liking him again and he again, would always be like flirty and kissing me. Now, on AIM he only answers me when he feels like it. it's soo annoying. So, today, I pretended that I had a boyfriend, he was asking me all these ques I finally told him I liked him on AIM. I dont know how to explain how he reacted. he was just like..."lol" and I said "now your gonna act all weird and stuff, if you do than I just wont like you anymore". and he said "no i don't" so now I told him that I dont like him anymore
